Women Who Code CONNECT 2018 brought together speakers from around the world to share their stories and expertise about technology.

I gave a technical talk on "How to Survive Legacy Code Jungle" based on case study of Yelp.

Midwest JS 2018

My first experience to interact with developers from US mid west. My topic for conference was:"Hello Real World Of Legacy Code: Story Of Yelp's Migration To React". It was great opportunity to share my experience of working with legacy code to introduce modern code to legacy code base with everyone. I had great coversations with fellow developers about misery of legacy code base.

Enterprise for Youth Careers in Tech

Enterprise for Youth empowers and prepares young people for success in employment and higher education. Yelp helped them to host a panel for helping some of them to prepare for and discover career opportunities in tech. I enjoyed having conversations with them. They reminded me of my high school days :D

WaffleJS June 2018, San Francisco

WaffleJS is a meetup about web technology with a side of waffles and karaoke. It was so much fun to spend night with fellow coders and also talk about legacy code.

Webinar, An Introduction to Open Data & API

Conducted a 45 mins webinar covering fundamentals of APIs, URL and JSON. Demoed use of public API including NASA API to access Open Data. You can find the presentation deck here.

DevFest 2018, Siberia, Russia

DevFest Siberia is a part of the IT conference series around the world for developers, managers, students. It is organized by a non-profit community Google Developers Group. In 2018, the conference took place on the 23rd-25th of November in Novosibirsk, Russia. It was a wonderful experience to meet tech professionals from around the world and audiences from Russia.

Real World React, San Francisco

Real World React organizes talks and workshops on using React in real-world. The meetups are organized in different locations in San Francisco with speakers from some of the top companies in bay area.

Web Directions Code, Australia

Web Directions Code is Australia's conference for JavaScript Developers and Front End Engineers held in Melbuorne 2019. It was a great experience meeting with Australian technologists and other programmers from all over the world.
